Summer is here (or so we all hope…). Here’s something a good friend of mine wrote for my newest mixtape. I honestly don’t have much else to say about it other than what she has written & how she interpreted my mix. It is a mix for the music lover, a mix for the adventurous, a mix for the sexy, a mix for my friends, my fans, my small & loyal band of followers, FOR YOU. So let’s take a ride together and enjoy the next few months. But first an ode to summer, care of a “black book”……

Hello Summer,

It’s not just that I’ve missed you. I’ve literally dreamed about you.
Fantasized. You Summer, are a cruel mistress and although I try to resist,
you get me every time.

It’s your quiet beauty in the morning. It’s your energy in the afternoon,
and c’mon now; who can deny those long, hazy, and oh so sexy summer nights?

You Summer, are that anticipation that the next day will bring more than the
last. You are the promise of adventure. You are the promise of excitement; I
see the invitation behind that smile and Summer, I’m saying “yes”.

Then, as soon as you arrive, you’re gone again. Leaving me to reminisce
about that boat cruise, that carnival, those days in the park, and of
course, those long, hazy and oh so sexy summer nights…
